TOWARDS AN "EGYPTIAN STYLE" USE OF OUR NECKLACES
Ancient Egyptians would have loved to be able to visit our online store. Seeing our articles would have been something that would have been appreciated by the people of a prosperous country that was a golden age for jewelry, goldsmithing and silversmithing.
Being impossible for them to do this from their sarcophagi, we have paid homage to them by describing the different ways they wore their jewelry during their era:
- To the ears: the ancient Egyptians wore pairs of hanging earrings adorned with a beautiful diamond or at least solid gold earrings for the richest Egyptians.
- Necklaces: The inhabitants of Cairo and Luxor liked pure gold necklaces with diamond pearls and necklaces with one or two impressively sized gems (mostly aquamarines, large sapphires or corundums). Silver or rhodium pendants and diamond necklaces set with spinels were also very popular pieces at that time.
- Wrist: The wrists of the citizens of the Nile valley were adorned with silver jewelry, rose gold bracelets, gold bracelets and gemmologically refined sodalite gemstone bracelets.
- On the finger: the choice was vast: silver rings, gold rings, engagement rings, rhodium-plated silver rings, superb wedding rings that created an eternal marriage contract. These Egyptian rings and, above all, these wedding rings were real treasures and could include many precious and semi-precious stones.
